Cyber Crime training programme concludes at DPO Srinagar | KNO

Srinagar, Dec 13 (KNO): A comprehensive cybercrime training programme for police officers and officials posted at newly established Cyber Police Stations across the Kashmir Zone concluded at the District Police Office (DPO), Srinagar. According to a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), organised on the directions of the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kashmir, the programme commenced on December 1 and aimed at equipping officers with practical knowledge of techniques and procedures for detecting and investigating cyber fraud and other digital offences. The training was conducted by a team of experts from Cyber Police Station Srinagar under the supervision of the Senior Prosecuting Officer, Zonal Police Headquarters (ZPHQ) Kashmir. The sessions focused on emerging cybercrime trends, use of modern investigation tools, and legal provisions related to cyber offences. On the concluding day, SP Headquarters Srinagar, along with other senior officers, interacted with the participants and underscored the growing complexity of cybercrime, stressing the need for specialised skills to effectively counter such challenges.
